2940nm Erbium YAG Laser

How it works:
Laser resurfacing is one of the popular procedures to remove or reduce the effects of aging and skin lesions. Er:YAG laser has a wavelength of 2940nm, which as an absorsion level in water 16 times greater than that of the CO2 laser, in other words, Er: YAG leaves minimal residual thermal damages, has faster recovery time and less risks of compilations. This property makes it an ideal tool for skin resurfacing.
Each pass of Er:YAG laser removes a thin layer of skin and the depth of ablation can be controlled by altering the laser fluence. Epidermal lesions can be removed without damaging the dermis, minimizing the risks of scarring.

Erbium: YAG (Er.YAG) Laser issued for ablative resurfacing to treat wrinkling of forehead, periorbital, nose and perioral as well as the effects of acne scars, chicken fox, and superficial pigmented lesions. Er:YAG laser is a well-established modality for laser skin.
